WorkForce WF-6530

Epson WorkForce WF-6530 printer

The WorkForce Pro WF-6530 is the careful model in the 748 family: it takes standard and XL packs only. Our XL shelf — black (T748XL120) up to 5,000 pages, cyan (T748XL220), magenta (T748XL320) and yellow (T748XL420) up to 4,000 pages each — fits it exactly; XXL packs do not, and none is listed here for it.

WF-6530 Ink Packs — XL Yes, XXL No

Start with the one rule that protects this printer: Epson's own FAQ table for the WF-6530 lists two tiers for this model — standard-capacity 748 and high-capacity 748XL — and no XXL column. Sellers who offer you a 748XXL pack for a WF-6530 are contradicting Epson's table. Our four XL packs (T748XL120 / T748XL220 / T748XL320 / T748XL420) — black up to 5,000 pages, colours up to 4,000 each, ISO/IEC 24711 — are the high tier this model genuinely accepts.

The packs themselves are DURABrite Pro pigment ink packs with a green IC chip; the print head stays in the printer. Order the single colour the printer asks for — there is no 748 set in our range, and on this model there is no higher tier to step up to.

If the pack you remove is a standard 748, its XL replacement fits the same position and raises the rating from 2,500 to 5,000 pages for black and from 1,500 to 4,000 per colour — on this model the tier step is a capacity choice, never a fitment gamble.

Which 748XL should you buy?

  • Order colour by colour: black, cyan, magenta and yellow packs are $58.49 each — replace the single pack the printer calls for.
  • No set exists in this family: our 748 range is four individual XL packs. There is no four-pack set, and no compatible standard or XXL pack, in this range.

Chip, ink and everyday use

Each pack carries a green IC chip that tracks its level, and Epson's own ink pack documents carry the family's standing warning: a firmware update can stop a non-Epson pack that worked before it. Our packs carry new compatible chips; reseat and restart first if a warning ever follows an update. The PrecisionCore print head is fixed in the printer and never leaves it — a replacement is just the sealed pack. Lifetime warranty and 1-year free returns cover every pack.
