Expression Premium XP-6100
Ink for the Expression Premium XP-6100 is the Epson 302 family in five individual cartridges — pigment black plus photo black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Below are Clever Supplies compatible 302XL cartridges: black up to 550 pages, colours up to 650 pages each (ISO/IEC 24711) — chipped, and backed by a lifetime warranty. XP-6100 Ink Cartridges — 302XL, All Five Positions
The XP-6100 is the XP-6000's successor on the same ink: Epson's support documentation for this model lists all ten 302 codes, standard and XL alike, with the same yield line — standard black 250 / colours 300 each, XL black 550 / colours 650 each (ISO/IEC 24711), and photo black rated for photo printing rather than by page count. We stock the XL tier: T302XL020 pigment black, T302XL120 photo black and T302XL220 / T302XL320 / T302XL420 colours.
The boundary to respect is the badge: the XP-610 is a different, older printer in the 273 family — one digit shorter, a completely different cartridge shelf. And 312 cartridges (the XP-15000, the XP-8500) fit nothing here despite the similar family number. Inside this printer, keep the two blacks in their own slots: 020 is pigment document black, 120 is dye photo black.
The same 302XL shelf serves the whole family roster — XP-6000 — so one cartridge list covers every model on it, and a spare bought for any of them fits the rest. The same split runs everyday printing on this family: the pigment black carries documents, the dye colours and photo black carry photographs, and each slot is replaced only when its own work runs it dry.
Which 302XL should you buy?
- One slot ran out: black is $22.49; photo black, cyan, magenta and yellow are $16.49 each.
- Full five-position reset: the Set of 5 ($79.43) replaces every cartridge in one box.
- Stocked shelf: the Set of 11 ($148.34) carries three blacks, two photo blacks and two of each colour.
Chip, ink and everyday use
Each cartridge carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting. If a firmware update ever precedes a recognition warning, reseat the cartridge and restart before judging it. The split ink system is the everyday point: the pigment black keeps documents crisp, while the dye photo black and colours do the photo work — keep spares sealed until install day. Lifetime warranty and 1-year free returns cover every cartridge.
