Frequently Asked Questions

Most of our output is black documents with the odd color page — which cartridge in this set does the work?

The black one, overwhelmingly. On a WorkCentre 6605DN used for correspondence, invoices and scanned-and-copied paperwork, the 106R02228 black cartridge carries nearly the whole load, while cyan, magenta and yellow are touched only when a logo, chart or color copy passes through. That pattern is why black is the set's biggest cartridge — but the colors still deplete slowly over time, so holding the full group avoids a surprise stop on the one day a color job matters.

What does the set consist of?

Four high-yield cartridges, one for each position in the machine: 106R02228 black, 106R02225 cyan, 106R02226 magenta and 106R02227 yellow. Together they are the complete toner family for the 6605DN — print, copy and scan-to-print work all draw from these same four units.

How do the ratings reflect a black-heavy workload?

Black is rated at up to 8,000 pages and each color at up to 6,000 pages, at the standard 5% coverage. In a black-led office the color ratings are almost academic — you may go through two black cartridges before a color needs attention — but they confirm each color cartridge is itself a full high-yield unit, not a small starter fill, when its turn eventually comes.

Which machines will this set fit?

It is listed for the WorkCentre 6605DN, whose duplex, networked configuration shares the platform's standard toner fitting. The same group also serves the WorkCentre 6605 and the printer models on the platform: Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN and Phaser 6600YDN.

Can cartridges be replaced individually as each one empties?

Yes — that is the intended routine. The machine reports each position separately, so fit the replacement for the empty slot and leave the rest alone, whether that means black twice in a row or a color a year later. The unused cartridges from the set stay sealed and stored flat until needed.

What are the warranty, returns and delivery terms?

The set includes a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns; our shipping and returns page explains the terms in full. Orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
