Frequently Asked Questions

Does copying on the WorkCentre 6605 use the same toner as printing?

Yes. The 6605 is a multifunction machine with one toner system, so every copied page draws on the same four cartridges as a printed page. Offices that copy heavily — meeting packs, forms, training material — often find their toner cycles are driven as much by the copier as by the print queue, which is worth remembering when levels drop sooner than expected.

What does this set contain?

The complete high-yield cartridge group for the machine: 106R02228 black, 106R02225 cyan, 106R02226 magenta and 106R02227 yellow — one cartridge for each position. Nothing else needs to be added; the four codes together are the entire toner family the WorkCentre 6605 takes.

What do the 8,000 and 6,000 page ratings mean for a copying workload?

Black is rated at up to 8,000 pages because it is the larger cartridge; each color is rated at up to 6,000 pages. Both numbers are measured at 5% coverage, the standard test basis. Copied documents with dense text, shaded forms or logos cover more of the page than that, so a copy-heavy office should treat the ratings as a ceiling and watch how black — the cartridge copies lean on hardest — trends down first.

Which machines does this set fit?

It is listed for the WorkCentre 6605 and also serves the WorkCentre 6605DN and the printer-only side of the family: the Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN and Phaser 6600YDN. Multifunction features and printer configurations differ across those models; the cartridge fitting is shared.

When one color runs out, do I change the whole set?

No. Swap only the position the machine reports as empty and keep the rest of the set sealed for later. The WorkCentre tracks each cartridge independently, so a fresh cyan alongside a half-used black is perfectly normal operation. Storing the spares flat, out of direct light, keeps them ready for their turn.

What warranty and delivery terms are included?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns apply, with the full terms published on our shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want help confirming the cartridge codes for your machine.
