Frequently Asked Questions

What does the B on my Phaser 6000B mean for toner ordering?

Nothing that changes the cartridge. The B is a model-variant suffix on the printer itself; the supply bay underneath is the same as the rest of the family, and the cyan it takes is this 106R1627. Order by the part number on the cartridge you remove and the suffix on the machine can be ignored entirely.

Is this listing for one cartridge?

Yes — a single cyan cartridge for $31.99. The plural "Cartridges" in the name is catalogue phrasing, not a count. Black, magenta and yellow for the 6000B come from their own part numbers — 106R1630, 106R1628 and 106R1629 — and are bought separately as each one runs down.

Can I keep a spare cyan on the shelf, or does it go stale?

A sealed cartridge keeps well, so shelf storage is a sensible habit with this family. Leave it in its bag, flat, out of direct sunlight and away from heat, and it will be ready whenever the fitted one fades. Given the 1,400-page rating, a home or small-office user may hold a spare for months — storing it properly is what makes that safe.

How many pages does the cartridge cover?

Up to 1,400 pages at the standard 5 percent coverage — around 2.28 cents per page at $31.99. Cyan use rises and falls with your documents: mostly-black text barely touches it, while colour photographs and blue-heavy graphics draw on it constantly.

Which printers use this same cyan cartridge?

Beyond the Phaser 6000B named here, the 106R1627 serves the Phaser 6000, the Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N, and the WorkCentre 6015 multifunction line. One cyan part number spans the platform.

What warranty and returns cover it?

A one-year warranty with free returns for a full year, detailed on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Phaser 6000B Cyan Cartridge

At $31.99, this 106R1627 is the cyan supply for the Phaser 6000B — the same 1,400-page cartridge the whole 6000/6010/6015 platform shares. Cyan carries the blues and greens in everything the machine prints, and on a compact desktop unit its fading shows up first as tired-looking colour rather than a hard stop, which is exactly why a shelf spare suits this printer. The rest of the family's compatible supplies are on our Xerox toner page.
