Frequently Asked Questions

Our 7400 prints to deadlines — client boards, event signage, same-day tabloid runs. What does a six-cartridge box actually buy us?

Insurance against the empty-bay stop. This platform halts a colour job when any one colour runs out, and it never happens at a convenient moment. Six cartridges on the shelf means that when a bay empties mid-run, the swap takes minutes and the job still ships that day — and there is enough stock behind it to cover the next empty bay as well, instead of every colour change becoming a fresh order, a delivery wait and a blown deadline.

How are the six cartridges made up?

The box holds six cartridges drawn from the platform's three colour codes: cyan 106R01077, magenta 106R01078 and yellow 106R01079, with every cartridge rated at 18,000 pages. The three colours are covered between them; how heavily your own work leans on each colour decides which bay calls for its replacement first. As with the rest of this range, black is a separate matter — the black unit, 106R01080, is stocked from its own listing.

If they are not all fitted at once, how should the spares be kept and used?

Keep the cartridges you are not fitting yet sealed in their packaging, stored flat and out of direct sunlight, and bring them out in the order they arrived — oldest stock first. When the printer calls for a colour, fit that colour and leave the others sealed; a cartridge waiting in its wrapper is not deteriorating on the shelf. Marking the delivery date on each box with a pen makes the rotation effortless in a busy print room.

What does the 18,000-page rating mean at production coverage?

It is the standard test figure: letter-size pages at 5% coverage. Deadline work on this machine rarely looks like that — tabloid sheets carry about double the area, and posters, photo work and display graphics lay down far more toner per sheet than 5%. So treat 18,000 pages as the yardstick for comparing cartridges, not a promise for a month of full-bleed A3. The per-cartridge rating is the same whether the cartridge comes out of this box or a single listing.

Which printers does this set fit?

The full Phaser 7400 platform: the Phaser 7400, Phaser 7400DN, Phaser 7400DT, Phaser 7400DX and Phaser 7400DFX, plus the Phaser 7400N. That shared engine makes this a practical single shelf stock for a shop running more than one variant — the same six cartridges stand behind every machine in the room.

What warranty, returns and delivery cover apply to a box of six?

Coverage runs per cartridge, not per box: each of the six is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a faulty unit is replaced or refunded on its own without disturbing the rest of your stock. Orders are dispatched from whichever of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses is closest, and our support team is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Delivery charges, timeframes and how returns are handled are set out on our shipping & returns page.

About This Six-Cartridge Colour Set for the Phaser 7400

This box puts six colour cartridges for the Phaser 7400 platform on the shelf in one purchase — drawn from cyan 106R01077, magenta 106R01078 and yellow 106R01079, every cartridge rated at 18,000 pages — for $287.28. It is built for production environments where an empty colour bay stops revenue work: deadline tabloid and A3 printing that cannot pause while a replacement ships. Cartridges are fitted individually as each bay calls for them, with the spares kept sealed in rotation. Black for the platform (106R01080) is ordered separately, and the wider range is gathered under Xerox in the store. Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns.
