Frequently Asked Questions

Our reds look orange and skin tones look sunburned — is magenta the culprit?

Very likely, yes. Magenta is the foundation for reds, pinks, purples, and natural skin tones, so when it fades, those colors shift first while blues and yellows still look right. Check the toner gauge: a low magenta reading alongside those symptoms almost always means this cartridge is the one to replace.

How long should a magenta cartridge last?

It is rated at 17,000 pages, but marketing materials, photos, and full-color flyers draw magenta much faster than text documents do. An office printing mostly black text with occasional color may see a year or more from it. A design or sales team printing color daily will cycle through it considerably sooner.

Do I have to change the other colors at the same time?

No. The colors in this platform are independent cartridges, and replacing magenta on its own is the normal, economical move. Swap only what is empty, run a calibration page or two, and your reds and skin tones should come back without disturbing the rest of the set.

Will this cartridge work in my machine?

This is the 888606 magenta cartridge made for the Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 and MP C4500 platform. Although the listing names the C3500, the same magenta serves the other models in that family. Matching the number on your outgoing cartridge is the surest confirmation.

What is the cost per color page?

Priced at $62.51 with a 17,000-page rating, magenta works out to roughly 0.37 cents per page at standard 5% coverage. Photo-heavy pages consume more toner per sheet, so treat that figure as a best-case benchmark rather than a promise.

What protection comes with this cartridge?

You get a one-year warranty plus free returns for a full year — worded simply, if the cartridge fails you in that window, we will take care of it.
