Frequently Asked Questions

Why does cyan seem to run out faster than the other colors?

Cyan does quiet, heavy work in everyday business printing: charts, graphs, logos, hyperlinks, and screen-style graphics all lean on it, and even "gray" areas on color prints are often built from cyan, magenta, and yellow together. So a cartridge rated at 17,000 pages can empty well ahead of the black in a graphics-heavy office. It is a usage pattern, not a defect.

What are the signs this cartridge is nearly empty?

Blues and greens lose their depth first — skies go flat, teal logos turn greenish, and color copies look washed out on the blue side of the spectrum. The machine's toner gauge confirms what your eyes suspect. Replacing cyan alone restores balance without touching cartridges that still have life.

Can I replace just the cyan cartridge?

Yes. Each color in this platform is a separate cartridge, so you change only the one that is empty and leave the rest installed. That is exactly what this single-cartridge listing is for — topping up one color at $62.51 instead of buying a full set.

Is this the right cyan for my copier?

This is the 888607 cyan for the Ricoh Aficio MP C3500 and MP C4500 color MFP platform. The listing is titled for the C3500, but the color cartridges are shared across that platform's models. Confirm 888607 against the cartridge you are replacing if your machine carries a different sticker.

What does a color page cost with this cartridge?

At $62.51 and a rated 17,000 pages, cyan runs about 0.37 cents per page at standard coverage. Dense full-color pages use more, so presentation-heavy workloads will see a higher effective cost. Even so, single-color replacement keeps you from spending on colors you do not yet need.

If the new cartridge prints poorly, what can I do?

Start by reseating it and running the machine's color calibration, which fixes most first-install oddities. If output is still streaky or faded, our one-year warranty and one-year free returns have you covered — contact us and we will replace or refund as appropriate. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page, and support hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
