Frequently Asked Questions
Does copying on the MC573 use the same toner as printing?
Yes — copies and prints draw from the same four cartridges, so a copy-heavy MC573 empties this set faster than a print-only machine would. The set holds one cartridge per color position: black, cyan, magenta and yellow, grouped under the numbers 46490604, 46490603, 46490602 and 46490601.
What does the full set cost?
$122.07 for all four cartridges, roughly $30.52 per cartridge. For an MFP that scans, copies and prints all day, restocking every color in one order keeps the machine from stopping mid-job over a single empty color.
How much can the set produce?
Black is rated at 7,000 pages; each color cartridge is rated at 6,000 pages. Those are per-class ratings — copying color originals leans on the color ratings, while black-and-white copying mostly spends the black cartridge.
Can I replace just the empty color?
Absolutely. Swap the cartridge the MC573 is calling for and leave the others sealed until their turn. The set is a buying convenience, not an all-at-once requirement.
Which other models share this set?
The C532, C532DN and MC573DN use the same cartridges, so offices running a mix of the printer and MFP versions can standardize on this one set.
What protection comes with it?
A 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year on this compatible set, with the terms on our shipping & returns page. Support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, orders ship from our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses, and the rest of the range sits on the Okidata brand page.
About This MC573 4 Color Set
An MC573 does three jobs on one set of cartridges, and this box restocks all of them at once: the four cartridges numbered 46490604, 46490603, 46490602 and 46490601 — black rated at 7,000 pages, each color at 6,000 — for $122.07. The set also fits the C532, C532DN and MC573DN. As a compatible product it is covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns rather than the original maker's pricing, and it ships from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California.
