Frequently Asked Questions

How does this 3-pack's price break down per cartridge?

The box is $72.73 for three 44992405 cartridges, which divides to about $24.24 each. The single-cartridge price is $36.57, so three bought separately would cost $109.71 — the pack saves you $36.98 and takes roughly a third off the per-unit price.

Where does the 3-pack sit in the range of pack sizes?

In the middle. The 2-pack works out near $27.33 a cartridge, this 3-pack near $24.24, the 5-pack $21.78 and the 10-pack about $19.93. Each step up trades a larger upfront box for a cheaper cartridge, so the right stopping point is simply how many cartridges your MB451W realistically uses in a year.

How many pages does the whole box cover?

Each cartridge is rated at up to 1,500 pages, so the three together hold about 4,500 pages. At the pack price that is around 1.62 cents per page, down from roughly 2.44 cents with singles — useful context if you track cost per page for a department or a client.

Will a 3-pack last a moderate user a sensible length of time?

At 300 pages a month, 4,500 pages is about fifteen months of printing; at 500 a month, around nine months. That is a comfortable horizon — long enough to make the discount worthwhile, short enough that none of the cartridges sits unopened for years.

Is there any difference between these and the single cartridges?

None. Same compatible 44992405 cartridge, same 1,500-page rating, same fit across the MB451, MB451 MFP, MB451W and MB451W MFP. Only the packaging quantity — and therefore the unit price — differs.

What happens if one of the three turns out to be faulty?

Each cartridge is covered on its own by our one-year warranty and one-year free returns; the terms are on the shipping & returns page. Fit the next unit, contact support (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST), and the faulty one is dealt with individually. Deliveries are sent from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA.
