Frequently Asked Questions

Who genuinely needs five black cartridges at once?

Shops where the C9650 is a production machine rather than an office printer — print rooms, sign and display work, busy marketing departments. At up to 18,000 pages per cartridge, five 42918984 cartridges are up to 90,000 pages of black output; if your machine eats a cartridge every few weeks, this is the pack size that ends the reorder cycle.

What does the bulk price work out to per cartridge?

$345.36 for five is $69.07 per cartridge — the lowest per-unit price in this listing family. Five singles at $83.87 would total $419.35, so buying this way saves $73.99, and the page cost works out to about 0.38 cents.

Will cartridges stored this long still print properly?

Yes, if they stay sealed and are stored sensibly — flat, in a cool dry spot, out of direct sun. The fifth cartridge in the box is used exactly like the first; there is no matched-batch requirement, and each one is covered by the same one-year warranty.

Which printers does the 42918984 fit?

It is the black cartridge for the C9650dn, C9650hdn and C9650hn. A five-pack is a commitment, so it is worth thirty seconds with the cartridge you are replacing: if its label reads 42918984, this box restocks the same unit five times over.

Is a compatible cartridge a risk at this volume?

These are newly manufactured compatibles built to the original 42918984 specification — not refills, not Oki-branded stock. The cover is concrete: a one-year warranty on the cartridges and free returns for a year on the order, so a problem unit is replaced or returned rather than absorbed as a cost of buying in bulk.

How does delivery work on an order this size?

The box ships from the closest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses. If anything about the order needs attention, support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the returns terms are spelled out on our shipping and returns page.
