Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I keep a spare cartridge for a printer that sips toner?

Because when an Optra S1855 finally does run dry, it always happens in the middle of something that matters — payroll, invoices, or end-of-month statements. This two-pack puts one cartridge in the machine and one sealed on the shelf, so a low-toner surprise becomes a two-minute swap instead of a stopped department waiting on a delivery.

What do I save compared with buying two singles?

Two single cartridges would cost $218.86; the two-pack is $200.38, so you save $18.48 and bring the per-cartridge price down to $100.19. Across the pack's 35,200 rated pages, that works out to roughly 0.57 cents per page — the cheapest way to keep an S1855 supplied short of the four-pack.

Does one cartridge from this pack work in other Optra models?

Yes. The 1382925 is a single cartridge number for the entire Optra S family: OPTRA S1250, OPTRA S1620, OPTRA S1650, OPTRA S1855, OPTRA S2420 and OPTRA S2450. This listing is titled for the S1855, but either cartridge in the box fits every model on that list, so a two-pack can also serve two different Optra machines in the same office.

How should I store the second cartridge until I need it?

Leave it sealed in its packaging, stored flat in a dry room away from direct sunlight and heating vents. Toner powder does not dry out or expire the way liquid ink does, so a cartridge bought today will print exactly the same when you install it a year or two from now. Just rotate stock oldest-first if you buy ahead regularly.

Can I split the two-pack between two printers?

Absolutely — the two cartridges are individually sealed and identical. Many offices with a pair of Optra S printers buy one two-pack and put a fresh cartridge in each machine, which also resets both printers' toner clocks at the same time and makes future ordering simpler to predict.

What if one of the two cartridges has a problem?

Each cartridge is covered individually by our one-year warranty, with free returns during that first year. If one unit underperforms, contact us and we will make it right for that cartridge without touching the other; the process is spelled out on our shipping and returns page.
