Frequently Asked Questions

Who honestly needs four toner cartridges for a printer this old?

Offices that are not running one Optra S1855 but several. Warehouses, school districts, clinics, and municipal offices kept fleets of these machines because they refuse to die, and a four-pack lets one purchase order supply every S1855 on the floor for a year or more. If you have a single lightly used machine, the two-pack is the sensible buy — this pack is for fleets and genuinely busy single printers.

How much does the four-pack bring the cost down?

Four singles would run $437.72. The four-pack is $382.25 — $55.47 less — which drops each cartridge to $95.56 and the cost per page to roughly 0.54 cents across 70,400 rated pages. It is the lowest per-page price available for this cartridge, and the savings repeat every time a fleet reorders.

Will all four cartridges fit the different Optra models we run?

Yes — the 1382925 is the shared cartridge for the whole Optra S platform: OPTRA S1250, OPTRA S1620, OPTRA S1650, OPTRA S1855, OPTRA S2420 and OPTRA S2450. This listing names the S1855, but one stock number covers every model on that list, which is exactly what makes fleet stocking simple: one shelf item, no matching boxes to machines.

Seventy thousand pages sounds like a lot. Will the last cartridge still be good when we reach it?

Yes, provided it stays sealed and stored flat in a cool, dry place. Toner is a dry powder and does not spoil on the shelf the way inkjet cartridges can. Offices routinely work through a four-pack over two or three years with the final cartridge printing like the first; just keep the boxes out of damp basements and hot storage rooms.

How do we manage rotation across several printers?

Date each box when it arrives and issue oldest stock first. Because every machine in the fleet takes the same cartridge, there is no compatibility sorting — whoever changes a cartridge grabs the oldest sealed box. Many facilities also keep one cartridge staged at each printer and the balance in central stores.

How does the warranty work on a bulk purchase?

The one-year warranty and one-year free returns apply to each cartridge in the pack, and a claim on one unit never affects the others. If a cartridge disappoints, reach out and we will replace or refund that unit — the steps are on our shipping and returns page, and support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
