Frequently Asked Questions

What does 70,400 pages of toner look like in real planning terms?

For an Optra S2420 printing 3,000 pages a month — a genuinely busy department — this four-pack is close to two years of supply in one box. At a lighter 1,000 pages a month, it stretches toward six years. Buying at this depth turns toner from a recurring errand into a line item you think about once and forget.

How much cheaper is the four-pack route?

Considerably. Four single cartridges total $437.72; this pack is $382.25, saving $55.47. Each cartridge effectively costs $95.56 and your per-page toner cost falls to about 0.54 cents — the best rate this cartridge is sold at, and a figure modern printers rarely match.

We run S2420s alongside other Optra models. One stock item or several?

One. The 1382925 is the common cartridge across the Optra S platform: OPTRA S1250, OPTRA S1620, OPTRA S1650, OPTRA S1855, OPTRA S2420 and OPTRA S2450. This listing calls out the S2420, but the same box feeds every model listed, so a four-pack can be drawn down by whichever machine calls for toner first — no model-by-model inventory to manage.

Is it smart to stock years of toner for a printer of this age?

It is the strategy most long-term Optra owners use, with one sensible condition: stock deep only for machines that are mechanically sound. The cartridges themselves keep for years sealed in a cool, dry storeroom, so the risk is not spoilage — it is a printer being retired early. If your S2420 is healthy, a four-pack is simply the cheapest pages you will ever buy for it.

How should we hand out cartridges from a central supply room?

Mark each box with its arrival date and issue oldest first. Keeping one cartridge staged near the printer and the remainder in central stores works well: the staged unit prevents a mid-job stop, and central stock stays easy to count when reorder time comes around.

What's the guarantee on a purchase this size?

Every cartridge in the pack is individually protected by a one-year warranty, and returns are free throughout that year — a problem with one unit is resolved on its own without disturbing the rest of your stock. The full policy is on our shipping and returns page, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
