Frequently Asked Questions

What does this listing include?

Two black W1470X cartridges from the 147X family, each sealed separately, sold together for $189.85. In a print room the pattern is constant: one cartridge in the machine, one staged beside it, so a changeover costs seconds rather than a stockroom trip.

Any rotation discipline worth following with a staged spare?

Keep it boring: oldest stock first, always. When the staged cartridge goes in, move the reorder to the top of the job list that same shift. Print rooms run on rhythm, and a two-pack rhythm — one running, one ready, one on order — never breaks stride.

How do we handle a swap in the middle of a long run?

Wait for the current job to clear if you can. Open the M612x, draw the spent cartridge out, rock the fresh one gently, and slide it in. The printer recalibrates briefly and the run continues; the first pages afterwards are worth a glance to confirm density is back. The same fresh cartridge fits the room's other machines without a second thought — the M610dn, M610n, M611dn, M611n and M611x, the M612dn, and the M634h, M635z and M636z multifunctions.

What yield does each cartridge in the pack carry?

Each W1470X is independently rated at 25,200 pages. Production work with heavy coverage will land below that figure, light text work above it in practical terms — but the rating is per cartridge, and the spare on the shelf is a full cartridge, not a partial top-up.

Where should the spare live in a working print room?

Flat, sealed and away from heat and direct light — a shelf in the same room is fine, on top of the machine is not. Heat and sunlight are the two things that shorten a stored cartridge's good life, so give it the same care as the paper stock.

What support backs a print room order?

Both cartridges are covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. If a unit prints badly from the first page, call us Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST and we will make it right rather than leave a production machine down.

About This 147X Pair for the Print Room

The HP LaserJet Enterprise M612x is a throughput machine, and this two-pack of 147X cartridges — $189.85 for two W1470X units, each rated at 25,200 pages — is stocked the way print rooms think: the next cartridge is always within arm's reach of the operator who needs it. A room in a quiet stretch can stage the standard-yield 147A (W1470A) pair instead and save the high-yield stock for production season.

Orders are sent from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA is closest, with the full delivery story on the shipping & returns page. The broader Enterprise range is gathered under HP.
