Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is in the box?

Six cartridges, one of each colour: T079120-S black, T079220-S cyan, T079320-S magenta, T079420-S yellow, T079520-S light cyan and T079620-S light magenta — the complete ink set for the two printers this family serves.

What is the yield of the set?

Per cartridge, on Epson's published ratings: black up to 470 pages, and cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta up to 810 pages each. The six figures describe six different cartridges and are not added into a single total.

Which printers does it fit?

The Stylus Photo 1400 and the Artisan 1430 — the only two models Epson documents for the T079 family.

Are these high-capacity cartridges?

Yes, all six. The 79 family exists in a single tier and Epson describes every code in it as High Capacity; there is no standard-capacity 79 set.

Do the cartridges have chips?

Yes — each carries a new compatible chip that reports its ink level. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; if one position is flagged after a full change, reseat that cartridge and restart. The lifetime warranty covers any cartridge that will not recognise.

Should I change all six at once?

Only the expended ones need changing — each slot is independent. The set earns its place as a shelf reset: when several colours are low together, or before a long print run on a printer that stops at the first empty position.

What ink is in the set?

Claria Hi-Definition dye ink in all six positions — Epson's photographic dye system for this generation, including the two light tints.

Can I mix set cartridges with genuine Epson cartridges already installed?

Yes. Slots read independently, so you can replace colours as they run out and mix compatible and genuine cartridges in the same printer.

How much ink is in the set, in millilitres?

We publish no millilitre figure: Epson's documentation gives no verified volume for this family, so the Volume field is left blank. Compare on the per-colour published yields instead.

Is this a genuine Epson multipack?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible set built to the six T079 specifications, labelled compatible on the box and this page. Retail listings mention Epson multipack codes for this family, but their official status could not be verified, so we do not present this set under an Epson pack code.

Set of 6 or Set of 14?

The Set of 6 for a straightforward full reset. The Set of 14 — four blacks and two of each colour — if the printer produces photographs regularly and you would rather not reorder mid-project.

What warranty and returns cover the set?

Every cartridge in the box carries the lifetime warranty — a cartridge that fails to perform is replaced — and free returns apply within the first year.
