What are this bottle's specs?

Why does the page mention two yield standards?

Because Epson does for this family: document yields are measured on ISO/IEC 24712, while photo yields use ISO/IEC 29103 and are significantly lower. A photo printer's bottle should carry both facts, so we print both.

My skies are turning pink-purple. Cyan?

That's the classic low-cyan cast — magenta shows through when cyan can't hold up its half of blue tones. Check the cyan tank, refill if low, and run a nozzle check before the next print run.

Is 552 cyan the same as 512 cyan?

No. Different photo families and printers: 512 cyan (T512220-S) fits the ET-7700/7750 and is rated 5,000 pages; this 552 cyan fits the ET-8500/8550 at 6,200. The bottles are keyed differently.

Dye or pigment?

Dye — all five photo-side bottles in this family are dye. Only the T552020 Black is pigment, for documents.

Does it work in the wide-format ET-8550?

Yes — same 552 shelf as the ET-8500. Expect faster consumption on 13 x 19 prints; the tank window, not the document rating, is your guide there.

Any chip to deal with?

None. The refill is mechanical — keyed nozzle, auto-stop fill — and the printer can't reject a bottle.

Can I refill cyan by itself?

Yes; the six tanks are independent. Singles exist for single tanks; the 6-bottle set is the full reset.

What does cyan do in black-and-white prints?

Less than gray and photo black — but color casts in a "B&W" print often trace to a low color tank the printer uses for neutral balancing. Keeping all six tanks healthy is how this system stays neutral.
