What exactly is in the box?

Six 70 mL bottles: 1 × T552020-S Black (pigment), 1 × T552120-S Photo Black, 1 × T552220-S Cyan, 1 × T552320-S Magenta, 1 × T552420-S Yellow, 1 × T552520-S Gray (the last five are dye inks). The contents table is printed on the box front.

How many pages does the set print in total?

We don't publish a total — each tank is consumed at its own rate. Per bottle (ISO/IEC 24712): Black 6,700; Photo Black 7,300; C/M/Y 6,200 each; Gray 46,600 (document pattern; photo yields per ISO/IEC 29103 are significantly lower, per Epson's footnote).

Why does the set include two blacks and a gray?

Because the printer does: pigment black serves documents, dye photo black serves glossy shadows, and gray serves neutral gradation — especially black-and-white. Six tanks, six distinct jobs.

Is this the same as Epson's own multi-packs?

No. Epson sells a CMY 3-pack (T552620-S) and a 5-bottle dye set (T552920-S) without the pigment black. This set contains all six bottles including black — the complete system in one box.

Which printers does the set fit?

Both 552 models: the EcoTank Photo ET-8500 and the wide-format ET-8550. No other EcoTank family uses this six-bottle system.

The gray rating (46,600) looks like a typo. It isn't?

It isn't — it's Epson's official figure from its current specification sheets. It measures gray consumption on a document pattern, where a photo printer uses very little gray. On photo paper the bottle will deliver far fewer prints; that's the ISO/IEC 29103 footnote, printed on the gray bottle's own page in full.

Can I buy part of the set as singles?

Yes — all six bottles are sold individually. The set is the economical full reset; singles handle single low tanks.

Do any bottles have chips?

None of the six. Refills are mechanical: keyed nozzle, auto-stop at full. No recognition errors are possible.

My tanks aren't all empty. Set or singles?

If three or more tanks are low — or you're setting up a printer — the set is the clean reset and leaves spares. If one tank is down, its single is the cheaper answer.

What if one bottle in the set is defective?

The lifetime warranty covers each bottle individually; a faulty bottle is replaced on its own without returning the set.

Is this a genuine Epson set?

No. It's the Clever Supplies compatible set built to the six 552 specifications, labeled compatible on the box and this page — and, as noted, a combination Epson itself doesn't package.
