Magenta does the emotional work in a six-colour photo set — skin tones, sunsets, reds. Our compatible T277XL320-S is a Claria Photo HD dye magenta rated up to 740 pages (ISO/IEC 24711 and 24712 pattern), against 360 pages for the standard T277320. Code 320 is magenta throughout the 277 family.

The cartridge carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — if a warning appears, reseat the cartridge firmly and restart the printer before assuming the cartridge is at fault. Its siblings are T277XL120-S black (up to 500 pages), T277XL220-S cyan, T277XL420-S yellow, T277XL520-S light cyan and T277XL620-S light magenta (up to 740 pages each).
It fits the five verified 277 printers — XP-850, XP-860, XP-950, XP-960 and XP-970 — and no other family. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What yield should I expect from the T277XL320?
Epson's published rating is up to 740 pages for the genuine XL magenta (ISO/IEC 24711 and 24712 pattern) — expressed by Epson as the colour composite figure and listed per cartridge, as in Epson's own listings.
Which models is it compatible with?
XP-850, XP-860, XP-950, XP-960 and XP-970 — the complete verified 277 list.
Is magenta dye or pigment in this family?
Dye. Every 277 ink is a Claria Photo HD dye ink; the family has no pigment cartridge at all.
Does it have a chip?
Yes — a new compatible chip. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — if a warning appears, reseat the cartridge firmly and restart the printer before assuming the cartridge is at fault.
The printer rejects the cartridge. First steps?
Power off, take the cartridge out, inspect the chip contacts, reseat until it clicks, and restart. A firmware update immediately before the message is the common trigger; if it persists, we replace it under the lifetime warranty.
Magenta vs light magenta — interchangeable?
No. Magenta (320) and Light Magenta (620) are different cartridges in different slots: full-strength colour versus the pale tone that smooths gradations. The printer will not accept one in the other's place.
Can I mix this XL magenta with standard cartridges?
Yes — slots are independent. A standard cyan or an XL black already in the machine works alongside this XL magenta without issue.
Why is there no millilitre figure?
Epson's US documentation does not publish a volume for the 277 family, so the Volume field is left blank. The ISO yield — up to 740 pages — is the verifiable comparison.
Is this the standard magenta?
No — this is the high-capacity XL (T277XL320-S, 740 pages). The standard T277320 (360 pages) is not part of our compatible range for this family.
Is it a genuine Epson cartridge?
No — it is a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T277XL320-S specification and labelled compatible on the box and this page.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
Non-recognition after the reseat steps, leaking, or poor output from new — replaced under the lifetime warranty, with free returns in the first year.
When does a set make more sense?
When two or more colours are low together. The Set of 6 resets all six positions in XL; the Bulk Set of 13 suits heavy photo printing. Both are linked from this page.
