Frequently Asked Questions
How does a stores department keep a 5 pack of this size under control?
By treating the shelf quantity as a number, not a guess. This pack holds five 332-0131 cartridges, each rated at up to 45,000 pages. A workable rule for a B5460 fleet: reorder when the second-to-last cartridge goes into a printer, which leaves a full cartridge of buffer while the next order is in transit.
What is the effective price of each cartridge we issue from this pack?
$77.26. The pack costs $386.32 against $460.30 for five cartridges bought singly, a saving of $73.98 — and because every cartridge is the same Dell part number, 332-0131, the issue price on your stock record stays a single clean figure.
Why does our system insist on ordering by the part number on this listing?
Because "332-0131" cannot be confused with anything else. It is Dell's identifier for the extra high yield black cartridge used in the B5460, and ordering by it removes the two classic storeroom errors: the right cartridge for the wrong printer, and the standard-yield version of the right cartridge.
How much output does the full pack put on our shelves?
Up to 225,000 pages in total — 45,000 per cartridge across five cartridges. For stores purposes that is the figure that matters: it converts directly into how many months of B5460 output the shelf currently guarantees.
Are these the genuine Dell cartridges our auditors expect to see?
They are compatible cartridges, built by a third-party manufacturer to the 332-0131 specification, not Dell-branded stock. What your records will show is the correct part number, the stated 45,000-page rating and the $77.26 effective unit price, with the coverage below behind each cartridge.
What is the warranty position on cartridges held in stock?
Every cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns. If one is drawn from the shelf and fails to perform, the return route is described on our shipping & returns page, and support is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
