Frequently Asked Questions
If one cartridge lasts 45,000 pages, why buy two at once?
Because the day a high-volume B5460 finally empties is the worst day to start shopping. This 2 pack puts one 332-0131 in the machine and its identical twin on the shelf, so the change takes minutes whenever it lands — and the pair together are rated at up to 90,000 pages before you need to think about toner again.
What does the second cartridge effectively cost in this pack?
The pack is $165.62, which is $82.81 per cartridge — against $92.06 bought singly. Two singles would cost $184.12, so the 2 pack saves $18.50, and the saving arrives as a spare that is already on site rather than a discount you have to chase later.
What does the pack do to our per-page cost?
It trims it from about 0.20 cents to roughly 0.18 cents per rated page. On a B5460 running tens of thousands of pages between orders, that small per-page step-down is where the pack quietly pays for itself.
Are both cartridges the same 332-0131 specification?
Yes. Both are the compatible extra high yield black cartridge, Dell part number 332-0131, each rated at up to 45,000 pages for the B5460. There is no standard-yield cartridge hiding in the pack — the working cartridge and the spare are identical.
How should the spare be stored while the first cartridge is in the machine?
Sealed in its packaging, flat, away from heat and direct sunlight. A 45,000-page cartridge can spend months in the printer, which means the spare may wait a long time; stored properly it will be in the same condition when its turn comes as the day it arrived.
What if one of the two cartridges turns out to be faulty?
Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, whether it is the one in the machine or the one still on the shelf. Details are on our shipping & returns page, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
