Frequently Asked Questions

Who buys toner eight cartridges at a time?

Offices whose Dell Color Laser 2130 machines never get a quiet week — and offices running more than one printer from this family. This set holds eight cartridges from the family's four part numbers: the 330-1436 black, 330-1437 cyan, 330-1433 magenta and 330-1438 yellow, each rated at 2,500 pages. At that scale the purchase stops being a reaction to an empty slot and becomes a stocking decision: toner is simply there, the way paper is there.

What does the eight-cartridge price do to the per-cartridge cost?

The set is $89.06, which averages about $11.13 per cartridge — against about $13.44 per cartridge in the four-cartridge set at $53.77. Two four-cartridge sets bought separately would cost $107.54, so the eight-cartridge set saves $18.48 against the same count bought in fours. Against each cartridge's 2,500-page rating, the average running cost falls to roughly 0.45 cents per page per slot.

How do we store eight cartridges without the last ones suffering?

Keep them sealed, flat, at room temperature and out of sunlight, and use them in the order they arrived — oldest stock first. A cartridge is patient when it is stored properly; what ages toner is heat, damp and torn packaging, not the calendar. Marking the delivery date on the outer box with a pen is the entire inventory system most offices need at this scale.

Does buying in bulk change the warranty picture?

No. Every cartridge in this set carries the same 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns cover as a cartridge from the smallest set in the family — the terms are on our shipping and returns page. These are compatible cartridges built to the Dell specification for the 330-1436, 330-1437, 330-1433 and 330-1438, and bulk buying does not dilute the cover on any single unit.

Is eight cartridges too many for a single small printer?

It can be. A lone 2130 printing a few hundred pages a month will take a long time to work through eight 2,500-page cartridges, and tying up $89.06 in a cupboard earns nothing. The four-cartridge set at $53.77, or the five-cartridge set with its shelf spare, suits a light single machine better. The eight-cartridge set earns its price where volume is real: several printers, one shared stock, no emergency orders.

Where does a set this size ship from, and who do we call with a problem?

From whichever of our four US warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — serves your address fastest. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, whether the question is about an order or about a cartridge already in a machine. The smaller sets in this family are listed on our Dell toner page.
