Frequently Asked Questions

We are reordering from an old invoice. Is this the same set we bought before?

If your paperwork lists the four numbers in this listing's name — 330-1436, 330-1437, 330-1433, 330-1438 — then yes: this is that set. It contains the black 330-1436, cyan 330-1437, magenta 330-1433 and yellow 330-1438 for the Dell Color Laser 2130 family, each cartridge rated at 2,500 pages, priced at $53.77. Reordering by the numbers on the invoice is the most reliable method there is, because names and listing titles change while part numbers do not.

Our last order came through a listing named after the printer. Why does this one read differently?

Both styles of listing describe the same box. The model-named listings lead with "2130"; this one leads with the set's contents — (330-1436, 330-1437, 330-1433, 330-1438). Same four cartridges, same 2,500-page rating per cartridge, same $53.77 price. Whichever door you came in by, what arrives is one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge for the four slots.

How many pages should we expect before the next reorder?

Work from your own counter. Each cartridge is rated at 2,500 pages at 5% coverage, so note the printer's page count when the set goes in: a machine printing 400 pages a month will typically call for the next set in about six months, while one printing 1,200 a month will call in about two. Color-heavy work draws the cyan 330-1437, magenta 330-1433 and yellow 330-1438 down faster than the rating suggests; the counter plus the toner gauges beat any calendar guess.

Can we split the set across two machines?

Yes, if both machines take these same four part numbers — the cartridges are individual units, not a linked pack. Offices running two printers from this family often keep one set as the shared shelf stock and draw single slots from it as each machine asks. Just record which slot went where; the 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns cover every cartridge either way, with terms on our shipping and returns page.

What does one cartridge from this set effectively cost?

About $13.44 — the $53.77 set price divided by its four cartridges — which against a 2,500-page rating is roughly half a cent per page per slot. That is the figure to write on the purchase order next to the part numbers; it makes the next reorder a comparison instead of a fresh research project.

Where will the set ship from, and who confirms our numbers if we are unsure?

From whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses is fastest to you. If you want the four numbers on your invoice checked against this listing before ordering, support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The rest of the family range is on our Dell toner page.
