Frequently Asked Questions

What is actually in this 3 color set — and what is deliberately not in it?

Three cartridges, one for each color slot of the Dell Color Laser 2130cn: a cyan 330-1437, a magenta 330-1433 and a yellow 330-1438. There is no black cartridge in the box, and that is the point of the set — the 2130cn drinks its colors on a different schedule than its black, so this box refreshes the color side on its own. Your black is bought separately, in its own listing, whenever it runs low.

How much does the set save against buying the three colors one at a time?

Bought as singles on this site, the 330-1437, 330-1433 and 330-1438 add up to $81.93. This set is $44.97 — $36.96 less, which works out to about $14.99 per cartridge instead of $27.31. It is the same three cartridges with the same ratings; the difference is simply that one box and one shipment replace three separate orders.

How long does each color last?

Each of the three — the 330-1437 cyan, the 330-1433 magenta and the 330-1438 yellow — is rated at 2,500 pages. They will not empty together, though: a page with a blue header leans on cyan, a photo-heavy page leans on magenta and yellow, and plain text barely touches any of them. Expect the three low warnings to arrive weeks or months apart rather than on the same day.

Do the three cartridges have to be installed together?

No. Change only the slot the printer flags and leave the other two sealed in the box. Each cartridge keeps its own rating and its own coverage whether it goes in today or next quarter, and nothing about the set ties the three together once it is open. Most offices end up installing whichever color ran out and shelving the remaining pair as the standing spare set.

Are these genuine Dell cartridges?

No — they are compatible cartridges built to the 330-1437, 330-1433 and 330-1438 specifications and sold under our own brand, which is how three colors reach $44.97 instead of Dell's pricing. The backing is a one-year warranty and one-year free returns on every cartridge in the box; the full wording sits on our shipping & returns page.

Where will the set ship from, and who answers if we have a question?

Your order leaves whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — is nearest to you. Questions before or after delivery go to our support team, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central, and the rest of the Dell range, including the black cartridge this set leaves out, is gathered on our Dell brand page.
