Frequently Asked Questions

Six cartridges for a printer with three color slots — how does that work?

Think of it as two color rounds bought in one box. The six cartridges cover the three color positions of the Dell Color Laser 2130cn — cyan 330-1437, magenta 330-1433 and yellow 330-1438 — with a second round waiting on the shelf behind the first. The listing does not break the six down color by color, so plan on it as six cartridges across those three positions rather than a promised count of any single color. When a slot empties, its replacement is already in the building.

What does the six-cartridge box do to the price?

Two of the three-cartridge sets would cost $89.94; this box is $71.44, so you keep $18.50 by buying the rounds together. Against six singles at $27.31 each — $163.86 — the saving grows to $92.42. Averaged across the box, each cartridge costs about $11.91, the lowest per-cartridge figure in this 2130cn color family.

How are the cartridges rated?

Every cartridge in the box carries the family rating of 2,500 pages: the 330-1437 cyan, the 330-1433 magenta and the 330-1438 yellow are all rated the same. Colors do not drain evenly — presentation decks burn magenta and cyan faster than yellow, charts do the opposite — so the shelf round will be opened one cartridge at a time, in whatever order your printing dictates.

How should a box of six be stored and rotated?

Keep the cartridges sealed, flat and away from direct sunlight, and work first-in, first-out: when a color runs dry, install a shelf cartridge and let the next order rebuild the shelf stock. Rotation matters more with six than with three, because a forgotten cartridge at the back of a cupboard is money sitting still. The installed 330-1437, 330-1433 and 330-1438 each empty on their own schedule, so the habit belongs to the shelf, not the printer.

Who is this set right for — and who should buy the smaller one?

It suits a 2130cn that prints color every day: a small office turning out reports, a classroom, a front desk producing handouts. If your color printing is occasional, the three-cartridge set is the more sensible box and this one is stock you may hold for a long time. Either way there is no black cartridge here — the 330-1437, 330-1433 and 330-1438 family is color only, and black is ordered on its own listing.

What backs the set, and how fast does it arrive?

These are compatible cartridges, not Dell-branded stock, and every one of the six is covered by our one-year warranty and one-year free returns — the terms are spelled out on our shipping & returns page. Orders ship from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central, and the wider range lives on our Dell brand page.
