Frequently Asked Questions

When should I reorder the yellow cartridge for our 2130cn?

Earlier than you think. The 330-1438 is rated at 2,500 pages, and yellow is the channel offices notice last — prints keep coming out, just with greens turning blue and warm tones going cold. A practical rule: once your Dell Color Laser 2130cn starts warning about low yellow, order the replacement the same week and keep it on the shelf, because a 2,500-page cartridge can still run dry mid-job if a big color run lands.

Why do our greens look blue even though the page count seems low?

Green is mixed from cyan and yellow, so a fading yellow cartridge shifts every green toward blue and makes skin tones look gray — often long before the printer reports the cartridge as empty. Page counters track an estimated yield, not the exact content of each page, and graphics-heavy documents can exhaust the 330-1438 ahead of the estimate.

What does yellow cost per page in this cartridge?

The price is $27.31 and the rating is 2,500 pages, so the yellow channel works out to roughly 1.09 cents per page. To be candid, that is not a bargain-basement figure; you are paying for a high yield cartridge that spans five reams of paper in a single unit. If your 2130cn barely prints color, the honest advice is that this capacity may be more than you need.

Is the 330-1438 made by Dell?

No. This is a compatible cartridge produced to the 330-1438 specification and sold under the Clever Supplies brand as a lower-cost alternative to the Dell-branded original for the Color Laser 2130cn. It fits and functions in the same slot; it simply does not carry Dell's name or Dell's price.

What cover do I have if the cartridge underperforms?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns come with every compatible cartridge we sell, as described in our shipping and returns policy. Leaks, streaks, or a 330-1438 that gives out far short of 2,500 pages are all covered — reach out and we will make it right.

How quickly can I get one, and where does support sit?

Orders leave from the nearest of our four warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California. Support for the Dell range, including this cartridge, is available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM Central Time.
