Frequently Asked Questions

Our logo red is not the same red from one print run to the next — why?

Inconsistent red is a magenta supply story. The Canon 131 magenta (131M) feeds every red the MF624Cw prints, and as it runs low the mix it can deliver weakens unevenly, so one batch comes out true and the next drifts orange or dull. A fresh 131M settles the colour back to a single, repeatable red.

Which other colours does magenta quietly control?

Purples and violets lean on it, skin tones depend on it, and warm greys borrow from it. That is why a tiring magenta shows up in odd places — a purple heading going blue, a face going pale — before anyone connects the symptoms to one cartridge.

What yield does this cartridge carry?

The Canon 131 magenta is rated at 1,500 pages, level with the cyan (131C) and yellow (131Y); the black 131BK is rated at 2,400 pages. Each single costs $34.70, and each of the four cartridges in the MF624Cw is swapped independently as it runs down.

Is this a genuine Canon cartridge?

No. It is a compatible Canon 131 magenta cartridge built to the 131M specification and sold under our own brand — made to fit the MF624Cw in place of the original, at $34.70 instead of the original's price.

We print mostly black — will the magenta still run out?

Slowly, yes. Colour cartridges are drawn on by more than deliberate colour pages: mixed greys, charts and any document with a colour element all take their share. But a black-heavy MF624Cw will go through several 131BK cartridges for every magenta, which is exactly how the family is meant to be run.

What protection do we get?

A 1-year warranty covers the cartridge, and returns within the first year are free if it underperforms. We ship from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and our support team works Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Details are on our shipping and returns page.
