Frequently Asked Questions

People in our LBP7110CW photo prints look pale and slightly green — what causes that?

A fading magenta is the usual cause. Skin tones are built from a careful magenta balance; as the Canon 131 magenta (131M) runs low, faces lose their healthy colour first and take on a pale, greenish cast, while landscapes and documents can still look passable. If the people look wrong before anything else does, suspect the 131M.

Does magenta matter if we mostly print documents?

Less often, but it still shows. Charts with red segments, highlighted passages and any logo with a red element all draw on the magenta, and a weak supply turns those accents dull and rusty. A documents-only LBP7110CW will simply empty its black (131BK) far sooner — the magenta's 1,500-page rating gets spent slowly, but it does get spent.

How many pages is this cartridge rated for?

The Canon 131 magenta carries a 1,500-page rating, the same as the cyan (131C) and yellow (131Y) in the family; the black is rated higher at 2,400 pages. A single magenta is $34.70, replaced on its own when its colour gives out.

Is this made by Canon?

No. It is a compatible Canon 131 magenta cartridge produced to the 131M specification and sold under our own brand. It fits the LBP7110CW in place of the original — the difference is the branding and the $34.70 price tag.

How quickly can we replace it mid-project?

Orders are sent from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, so most customers are printing again within a few business days. Our support team can help with order questions Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

And if it underperforms?

Every cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free within the first year. The details are set out on our shipping and returns page.
