Frequently Asked Questions

What does the black cartridge budget look like for an LBP7110CW over a year?

Start from the two numbers that matter: the Canon 131 black (131BK) costs $34.70 and is rated at 2,400 pages. A small office printing a few hundred text pages a month will see one cartridge cover a good stretch of the year; a busier desk will cycle through several. Either way, the spend is predictable — there are no surprises in this cartridge, just a steady document workhorse doing 2,400 pages at a time.

Our LBP7110CW's documents have gone faint at the top of the page first — why?

Uneven fading is a classic low-toner pattern. As the 131BK empties, the supply feeding the page gets patchy, and one band — often the top — lightens before the rest. When text density varies down the sheet while colour pages still print evenly, the black cartridge is nearly done and a replacement restores the full, even page.

Is this the cartridge Canon makes, or an alternative?

An alternative. This is a compatible Canon 131 black cartridge manufactured to the 131BK specification and sold under our own brand. It goes into the LBP7110CW just as the original does and carries the same 2,400-page rating — the saving comes from the brand, not from a smaller cartridge.

Which other cartridges does this printer use?

Alongside the black, the LBP7110CW runs the Canon 131 colour trio: cyan (131C), magenta (131M) and yellow (131Y), each rated at 1,500 pages and each $34.70 as a single. In most offices the black empties well ahead of the colours, so the 131BK is the one to keep an eye on.

How soon would a spare get to us?

We dispatch from four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — choosing the closest to your address, so delivery is normally a matter of a few business days. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you need anything checked.

What guarantee backs it?

A 1-year warranty, with free returns inside that first year if the cartridge underperforms. You can read the complete terms on our shipping and returns page.
