Frequently Asked Questions

Our presentation decks look right on screen but print with dull, greyish blues — what is going on?

Screen blues are generous; printed blues are built entirely from cyan. When the Canon 131 cyan (131C) fades in the MF624Cw, deck backgrounds, title bars and diagrams lose their depth and slide towards grey, even though the file is unchanged. If the print is duller than the screen only in the blues, the 131C is the cartridge to replace.

Does cyan affect anything besides blue?

Yes — every green on the page. Green is cyan over yellow, so a short cyan turns greens yellowish and sickly while blues go pale. When those two symptoms arrive together on MF624Cw output, they share one cause, and one cartridge fixes both.

How many pages is this rated for?

The Canon 131 cyan carries a 1,500-page rating, the same as the magenta (131M) and yellow (131Y) in the family, with the black 131BK rated higher at 2,400 pages. A single cyan is $34.70, and it is replaced on its own — no need to disturb the other three cartridges.

Is this an original Canon cartridge?

No — it is a compatible Canon 131 cyan cartridge, manufactured to the 131C specification and sold under our own brand. It is made to install in the MF624Cw exactly as the Canon-made cartridge does, at $34.70.

How fast can we get a replacement before a meeting?

Orders leave from whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses is closest to you, so delivery is normally a few business days. Order questions are handled by our support team, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

What happens if it does not perform as rated?

It is backed by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free within the first year if it lets you down. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page.
