Frequently Asked Questions

How long will one of these sets keep our LBP612Cdw printing?

That depends entirely on how hard the printer works. The set's black cartridge, the 045HBK, is rated at up to 2,800 pages, and each color — 045HC cyan, 045HM magenta, 045HY yellow — at up to 2,200 pages. A desk printing a few dozen pages a day can stretch a set across many months; a desk pushing out color handouts daily will move through the colors noticeably sooner. Page coverage matters too: a page with a small color logo uses a fraction of the toner of a full-page photograph.

What exactly are we getting for the LBP612Cdw in this box?

The full Canon 045H line for that machine, one cartridge per slot: 045HBK black, 045HC cyan, 045HM magenta and 045HY yellow. All four are the high-yield H versions rather than the shorter-life standard Canon 045 cartridges, and each one arrives individually sealed, so the set can be fitted in one session or drawn down one cartridge at a time.

What does a page from this set actually cost?

The set is $77.94, which averages about $19.49 per cartridge against $133.41 if the same four were bought as singles — a $55.47 difference. Spread across the rated yields, that average works out at well under a cent per page on black and only a little more on color. For a single-printer office, it is usually the cheapest route to genuine high-yield capacity for this machine.

Do all four have to go in on the same day?

No. Many LBP612Cdw owners fit the cartridge the printer is asking for and shelve the other three as sealed spares. Toner does not dry out in the packaging, so a cartridge put away today is ready the morning a warning appears — no emergency order, no waiting on a delivery while a deadline slips.

Why does the printer seem to ask for colors at uneven times?

Because real printing is uneven. Documents lean on black for text, cyan and magenta do most of the work in charts and logos, and yellow quietly underpins almost every green and warm tone. A full Canon 045H set resets all four slots to full together, which keeps the colors balanced against each other for as long as possible before they start finishing at their own pace again.

What if one cartridge in the set is faulty, and how fast is support?

Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and cover runs cartridge by cartridge — a problem with one color never means returning the whole set. Details are on our shipping and returns page. Your order ships from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
