Frequently Asked Questions

Eight cartridges is a lot of toner — will some of it go off before we use it?

No, provided it stays sealed and sensibly stored. Toner is dry powder, not liquid ink; a cartridge in its unopened packaging keeps for a long time without degrading. Store the boxes somewhere at ordinary room conditions, out of damp and direct heat, and the last cartridge of the eight will print like the first. That shelf stability is exactly what makes bulk sets practical.

What does the per-cartridge price work out to at this size?

The set is $137.38 for eight cartridges, which averages roughly $17.17 per cartridge — the lowest per-cartridge figure in the Canon 045H set range. Set against singles at $32.49 for the 045HBK black and $33.64 for each color, buying at this size close to halves what a cartridge costs you. The trade is simply cash up front against price per cartridge.

Which cartridges make up the eight?

The set is built from the four Canon 045H codes: 045HBK black, rated at up to 2,800 pages, and 045HC cyan, 045HM magenta and 045HY yellow, rated at up to 2,200 pages each. Every cartridge is the high-yield H version and arrives individually sealed, so the stock can be drawn down in any order as the printer calls for each slot.

Who genuinely needs eight cartridges at once?

Busy, print-dependent workplaces: the office where the imageCLASS machine runs all day, where a toner stoppage stalls real work, and where whoever orders supplies would rather do it once and forget it for a long stretch. If your printing is occasional, be honest with yourself — the four-color set at $77.94 covers a full refresh, and toner money sitting on a shelf helps nobody.

How do the yields behave across a stock this size?

The class ratings stay the same cartridge to cartridge: up to 2,800 pages from the black code and up to 2,200 from each color code, with real-world life governed by how much of the page you cover. Text-led printing leans on the black; graphics-led printing draws the colors down faster. Eight cartridges simply means those cycles repeat several times over before reordering comes up again.

What protection and delivery come with a set this size?

Every cartridge is a compatible cartridge with a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns behind it, handled individually — one faulty cartridge is returned on its own, never the whole stock. The terms live on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses is closest, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
