Frequently Asked Questions

What does this set save against buying the four Canon 045H cartridges one by one?

Bought separately, the four Canon 045H singles — black 045HBK at $32.49 and cyan 045HC, magenta 045HM and yellow 045HY at $33.64 each — add up to $133.41. This set is $77.94, so $55.47 stays in your pocket, roughly 42% less, and the average cost per cartridge drops to about $19.49. One order, one delivery, no watching four separate listings.

Which cartridges are actually in the box?

Four, one per slot: the Canon 045H black 045HBK rated at up to 2,800 pages, plus the 045HC cyan, 045HM magenta and 045HY yellow, each rated at up to 2,200 pages. The black carries the higher rating because most offices print far more text than color. Every cartridge is individually sealed inside the set packaging, so any you hold back as spares stay fresh until the day you open them.

Why swap all four at once when only one is showing low?

Cartridges installed months apart run at different ages, and color balance drifts as they fall out of step — a strong new cyan next to a fading magenta makes prints look off long before anything is truly empty. Fitting the full set puts all four slots back on the same clock: one short swap session instead of four separate interruptions spread over the coming weeks.

Only my yellow is empty. Is buying the whole set a mistake?

If the other three cartridges are nearly new, honestly, no set is the right buy today — a single 045HY yellow is the cheaper answer and that listing exists for exactly this moment. The set earns its price when the other cartridges are partway through their lives: the ones you do not fit yet stay sealed on the shelf, and the next low-toner warnings turn into two-minute swaps instead of new orders and delivery waits.

Is this the standard Canon 045 set or the high-yield one?

High-yield. Everything in this box belongs to the Canon 045H line — the 2,800-page black and 2,200-page colors. The standard Canon 045 family is rated lower, around 1,300 pages on its colors, and at this store the standard singles sit at the same shelf prices as the H singles, so the H set simply gives you more pages for the same kind of money. Both families serve the same imageCLASS machines; this set is the long-life option.

What cover does the set carry, and how does delivery work?

Each cartridge is a compatible cartridge covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, handled cartridge by cartridge — if one color ever misbehaves, you are not sending all four back. The full terms sit on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave from whichever of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California is nearest to you, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
