Frequently Asked Questions

One cartridge prints 21,000 pages. Why would an office buy two at a time?

Because the second cartridge is not really about pages — it is about the day the first one runs out. A Canon GPR-15 machine in a working department does not stop at a convenient moment; it stops in the middle of someone's deadline. The 2 pack puts one cartridge in the machine and one on the shelf, so a swap takes two minutes and the reorder conversation happens calmly, with weeks of printing still in hand, instead of urgently with none.

How does the pricing of this pair actually break down?

Two single GPR15BK cartridges bought separately would cost $141.18. This 2 pack is $122.68, which means the second cartridge effectively costs $52.09 instead of $70.59 — a saving of $18.50 across the pair, and a per-cartridge price of $61.34. The first cartridge carries the full price; every cartridge after it in the pack comes at the lower step.

What does the pack do to our cost per page?

The pair holds 42,000 rated pages between the two cartridges. At $122.68 for the pack, black output drops from about 0.34 cents a page on a single cartridge to roughly 0.29 cents a page. It is not a dramatic restructuring of your print budget, but it is a real reduction earned simply by ordering in twos rather than ones.

The spare may sit on our shelf for months. Is that a problem?

Not if it is stored the way toner likes to be stored: still sealed in its packaging, kept flat in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct heat and sunlight. A sealed cartridge waiting its turn is in no hurry, and when the installed cartridge finally fades, the spare goes in fresh. Rotating stock — oldest cartridge in first — is the only discipline required.

Who is this pack size really sized for?

The classic fit is a department with one Canon GPR-15 machine and nobody whose job is watching toner levels. The 2 pack covers a long stretch of printing, keeps a spare permanently in reserve, and only asks someone to think about toner a couple of times a year. Offices running several of these machines usually step up to the bigger packs in this family; a single-machine office rarely needs more than this.

Are both cartridges covered the same way?

Yes — each GPR15BK in the pack is a compatible cartridge carrying our one-year warranty and one-year free returns, whether it is the one you install today or the one you install in four months. If either disappoints, our support team is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and your order ships from the nearest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses.

About This Canon GPR-15 Black Toner Cartridge 2 Pack

It is the natural restock size for a single imageRUNNER workgroup machine: one cartridge working, one in reserve.
