Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the per-cartridge price drop from $31.50 to $19.17 in this 3-pack?

Because the pack is priced as one purchase of three CRG-119 cartridges (part number 3479B001AA) instead of three separate ones. Three singles bought one at a time would cost $94.50; this 3-pack is $57.51, which saves $36.99 and works out to $19.17 per cartridge. The cartridges themselves are the same 2,100-page units as the single — the saving is in buying the quantity together.

How long will 6,300 pages of toner last us?

The three cartridges total 6,300 rated pages. A small office printing 500 pages a month is looking at about a year of supply; a busier workgroup at 1,000 pages a month gets through it in roughly six months. That makes the 3-pack a natural twice-a-year or once-a-year purchase for most imageCLASS users, rather than a shelf-filling commitment.

We have more than one imageCLASS machine — does one pack serve them all?

Yes, if they all take the CRG-119. Thirteen imageCLASS models share this cartridge, among them the LBP251dw, LBP253dw, LBP6300dn, LBP6650dn, MF414dw, MF416dw, MF419dw, MF5950dw and MF5960dn. Offices running two or three of these machines often keep one 3-pack as the shared shelf stock and draw from it whichever machine runs dry first — one cartridge type to stock, one part number (3479B001AA) to reorder.

How should the spare cartridges be stored?

Keep them sealed in their packaging, flat, in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Use them in the order they arrived, and there is no need to open one early to "keep it fresh" — a sealed cartridge waits patiently. When you install one, a gentle side-to-side rock before fitting helps settle the toner for even first pages.

What happens if one cartridge in the pack turns out to be faulty?

Each cartridge carries the same backing as a single: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. A cartridge that fails early, leaks or prints poorly is replaced or refunded under those terms — you are not expected to absorb a bad unit because it came in a multi-pack. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page.

Is the 3-pack always the right buy?

Not for everyone. If your machine prints a few dozen pages a month, three cartridges could sit for years and a single is the more honest purchase. The 3-pack earns its saving when the pages actually move — a working office printer, or several machines sharing the CRG-119 (3479B001AA). Orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want help judging your volume.
