Frequently Asked Questions

What am I saving with the 2-pack, in plain numbers?

Two Canon CRG-125 singles at $26.46 each would cost $52.92. This 2-pack is $34.43, so you save $18.49 and each cartridge works out to $17.22 instead of $26.46. At the 1,600-page rating per cartridge, the running cost drops from about 1.65 cents per page to about 1.08 cents. The cartridges are the standard CRG-125 (3484B001AA) — the saving comes from buying the pair in one order.

How much printing does the pair cover?

Up to 3,200 pages across the two cartridges. For a small office printing around 300 pages a month, that is the better part of a year from a single purchase: one cartridge in the imageCLASS printer, one sealed spare in the drawer. The spare is the real convenience — a cartridge change at the moment the old one fades, with no delivery wait in between.

Will the spare cartridge deteriorate while it waits?

No, provided it stays sealed. Keep it in its bag, flat, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. An unopened compatible cartridge stored that way keeps its condition for a long shelf period; there is no benefit to installing it early, and the toner inside does not settle in any way that a gentle rock side to side before installation will not fix.

What does "compatible" mean here, practically?

It means a new cartridge built to the CRG-125 fit and yield specification and sold under our own supply, rather than a Canon-branded or refilled unit. It installs the same way and is rated for the same 1,600 pages. Each cartridge is covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a bad unit is replaced or refunded individually — the good one does not have to come back with it.

When should I actually open the second cartridge?

When the first is genuinely done: output pale across the whole page even after you have rocked the cartridge gently side to side to redistribute the toner, or a toner-low warning followed by weak print. Fading down one side alone usually means settled toner, not an empty cartridge — the rock test tells you which situation you are in.

Where does the pack ship from, and how do returns work?

Packs ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California. Return and warranty terms are set out on our shipping and returns page, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want to check anything about the CRG-125 (3484B001AA) before ordering.
