Frequently Asked Questions

My printer is asking for both a toner and a drum — is that a coincidence?

Not at all. The drum counter and toner level run independently, and in practice the 'replace drum' warning often lands when a toner is also running low. This set answers both messages in one box: one TN660 high-yield toner (2,600 pages) and one DR630 drum (12,000 pages) for $38.00, versus $58.21 bought separately — a saving of $20.21.

Which part should I install first?

Fit the new drum first with the new toner clicked into it, then reset the drum counter on the printer. Installing both together means the counter reset and the fresh toner start their clocks at the same moment, which keeps future warnings honest.

What printers does this set fit?

This set is built around the DR630 drum, which serves the DCP-L2520DW, DCP-L2540DW, HL-L2300D, HL-L2305W, HL-L2315DW, HL-L2320D, HL-L2340DW, HL-L2360DW, HL-L2380DW, MFC-L2680W, MFC-L2685DW, MFC-L2700DW, MFC-L2705DW, MFC-L2707DW and MFC-L2720DW family of Brother printers and all-in-ones — every machine in that family takes this drum and toner pairing.

How many pages should I expect before the next change?

The toner is the shorter-lived part at up to 2,600 pages; the drum should carry on through roughly four more TN660 toners after this one. So this set ends the current warnings and sets the drum clock back to zero for the long term.

Is the TN660 the right toner if my printer came with a TN630?

Yes — the TN660 is the high-yield version of the same cartridge family and fits the same machines. It simply carries more toner: 2,600 pages against the standard cartridge's smaller fill, at a lower cost per page.

What if one item in the set turns out to be faulty?

Each component carries the 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns set out in our shipping and returns policy — the toner and the drum are covered independently.
