Frequently Asked Questions

I've just set up a new printer — why think about a drum already?

Because the starter toner supplied with a new machine is a small fill that runs out quickly, and new owners are often surprised by how soon the first replacement lands. This set pairs a full 2,600-page TN660 toner with a DR630 drum (12,000 pages) for $39.72, so your first consumable order covers both the imminent toner change and the drum change that follows later.

Should I fit the drum straight away on a new machine?

No — a new printer's drum is fresh. Keep this drum sealed in its box until the machine asks for it, store it away from light, and use the TN660 from the set as your first full toner. Buying them together simply locks in the $18.49 saving against the $58.21 separate total.

Which printers is this set made for?

This set is built around the DR630 drum, which serves the DCP-L2520DW, DCP-L2540DW, HL-L2300D, HL-L2305W, HL-L2315DW, HL-L2320D, HL-L2340DW, HL-L2360DW, HL-L2380DW, MFC-L2680W, MFC-L2685DW, MFC-L2700DW, MFC-L2705DW, MFC-L2707DW, MFC-L2720DW and MFC-L2740DW family of Brother printers and all-in-ones — every machine in that family takes this drum and toner pairing.

How long will the TN660 in this set last a typical home office?

At up to 2,600 pages, most home and small-office users measure its life in months rather than weeks. The drum then continues through roughly four further toners of the same size before it needs the spare you already own.

What yield does the drum offer when its turn comes?

The DR630 is rated for up to 12,000 pages. Remember to reset the drum counter on the printer when you eventually fit it, so the machine tracks the new drum accurately from its first page.

Is a set bought ahead of need still under warranty when I use it?

Yes — the 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns in our shipping and returns policy run from your purchase and cover both items in the set.
