Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I confirm that my machine is the FB configuration?

Look at the badge on the front of the unit and at the rating label, where the model is printed in full. If it reads WorkCentre 7425 FB, you are on the right page. The FB letters identify how that particular machine was configured when it left the factory — they are part of its model name, not a separate product line.

Does the FB version take a special black cartridge?

It does not. Whatever the suffix, the black slot on this family accepts 006R01395, rated at 25,000 pages. Configuration letters change the machine's paper-handling equipment, never its toner. Order by the part number and the badge can say whatever it likes.

What arrives if I order this set?

One cartridge for each of the four positions: 006R01395 in black at a 25,000-page rating, and 006R01398 cyan, 006R01397 magenta and 006R01396 yellow at 15,000 pages each. All four come individually sealed, ready to be fitted together or one at a time as the old cartridges expire.

The display shows yellow nearly empty but the rest look healthy — must I change everything?

Not at all. The positions are independent, so a tired yellow can be swapped on its own while black, cyan and magenta carry on. Buying the four as a set simply means the yellow's replacement — and everyone else's — is already on your shelf when its moment arrives, instead of being ordered in a panic.

Is this the same toner sold for the plain 7425 and the lettered variants?

Yes, the set is identical across the family. Listings are organised by badge so owners of an WorkCentre 7425 FBX or an WorkCentre 7425 R can find their machine by name, but the box that ships contains the same four part numbers in every case.

How is the set covered if something goes wrong, and how fast does it ship?

Coverage runs to twelve months: a 1-year warranty plus free returns for a full year, all detailed on the shipping and returns page. Dispatch is handled from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and help is available Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM CST. More machines in the range can be browsed under Xerox.
