Half our day is scanning client files to email. Does any of that use toner?
None of it. The scanner only reads the page in front of it, so a morning spent sending contracts and correspondence to email costs the cartridges nothing. Toner is spent only when the machine prints or makes a copy. In a practice where scanning is the bigger half of the workload, the ratings go further than they look on paper: the black cartridge is rated at 3,000 printed pages and each color at 2,000, and those counts only tick down on output that actually lands on paper.
How do I check this set against the copier in our file room?
Open the supplies status screen on your WorkCentre 6605 and read the four numbers it reports. Black should read 106R02244, cyan 106R02241, magenta 106R02242 and yellow 106R02243. When the panel lists the same four, this is the refill set your machine takes, and you can order without pulling a cartridge out to check its label.
What does the $117.81 cover?
The complete four-cartridge set: one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow, each in its own sealed wrapping. That is the whole carton. The imaging drums and the waste toner bottle are separate supply items with part numbers of their own; if your machine is asking for one of those as well, it belongs on a different order line.
Magenta just emptied and a client is waiting on copies. Can we keep working in black and white?
Yes. Tell the copy job to run in monochrome and the machine works from the black cartridge alone, so the client's copies come out while the color sits empty. The magenta cartridge is a separate sealed unit in its own slot — swap it when the rush is over and leave the other three exactly where they are.
How quickly can a set reach a small practice?
