Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is inside this 4 Color Set?

Four cartridges, one in each position your printer uses: 106R02228 in black, 106R02225 in cyan, 106R02226 in magenta and 106R02227 in yellow. Black is part of the set, not an extra you add later, so a single order restocks every slot in the machine at once. All four belong to the high-yield line for this platform, which is why the set carries the High Yield name in its title.

Why is the black rating higher than the color ratings?

Because the cartridges themselves are filled differently. The 106R02228 black cartridge is rated at up to 8,000 pages, while each color cartridge — cyan, magenta and yellow — is rated at up to 6,000 pages. Those figures are kept separate on purpose: there is no single combined rating for a set whose parts wear at different speeds, and black normally does the heaviest work in office printing, so its larger capacity reflects that workload. All ratings assume standard 5% page coverage, so dense graphics will use any color faster than plain text pages will.

How can I confirm these four codes are the right set before I order?

Read the codes, not the headline. This is the general listing for the platform, so the check that matters is matching all four numbers — 106R02228, 106R02225, 106R02226 and 106R02227 — against the supply labels inside your printer or the cartridge numbers shown on its status page. If your machine calls for that exact group, this set is the match, regardless of which model-specific wording another listing uses. If even one number differs, stop and check, because a near-identical code can belong to a standard-yield cartridge or a different platform entirely.

Which printers does this set work in?

It serves the full Phaser 6600 and WorkCentre 6605 platform: the Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN and Phaser 6600YDN printers, plus the WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605DN multifunction models. The letter suffixes describe network and duplex configurations, not a different toner fitting, so one set covers printers and multifunctions across the range.

Do I have to install all four cartridges at the same time?

No, and in most offices you should not. A set is a restocking purchase, not a single replacement event. Keep the unopened cartridges stored flat and out of direct light, then fit each one only when the printer reports that specific color is empty. Black will usually need attention first, the colors later and at different times from each other. Having the full group on the shelf simply means no color can stop a job while you wait on a delivery.

What warranty, returns and delivery cover applies to this set?

The set is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the full terms on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, whichever is best placed for your address, and our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want help confirming the codes before or after you order.

About This High Yield 4 Color Set for Phaser 6600 and WorkCentre 6605

Priced at $107.39, this compatible set gathers the complete high-yield toner group for the 6600/6605 platform into one order: 106R02228 black rated at up to 8,000 pages and 106R02225 cyan, 106R02226 magenta and 106R02227 yellow each rated at up to 6,000 pages. It suits offices that would rather verify four part numbers once and hold a full replacement group in reserve than chase individual colors as each warning appears. The wider range for this brand is listed on our Xerox toner page.
