Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is in this two-pack?

Two identical 106R01530 black toner cartridges, boxed together. Each one is the standard compatible cartridge for the WorkCentre 3550 platform, rated at 11,000 pages, so the pair gives you 22,000 pages of printing in total. There is no difference between the cartridges in this pack and the single — the pack exists purely to lower the price per cartridge and to keep a spare within reach.

How much do I save compared with buying two singles?

Two single cartridges bought separately would cost $138.04. This two-pack is $119.55, so you save $18.49, and the cost per cartridge drops from $69.02 to about $59.77. Spread over the rated yield, your cost per page falls from roughly 0.63 cents to about 0.54 cents — the saving shows up on every page you print, not just at checkout.

Does the spare cartridge keep well in storage?

Yes. Keep the second 106R01530 sealed in its packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and it will be ready when the first cartridge runs out. Toner cartridges do not dry out the way ink does, so a shelf spare is a sensible way to run a shared office machine without emergency orders.

Which printers do these cartridges fit?

Both cartridges are 106R01530 units for the WorkCentre 3550, WorkCentre 3550X, WorkCentre 3550XM and WorkCentre 3550YX. Because the whole platform shares one cartridge, one two-pack can support two different models in the same office.

Who is a two-pack the right size for?

Offices that print steadily but not heavily — roughly 500 to 2,000 pages a month — and anyone who has been caught out by a cartridge dying mid-job. The first cartridge goes straight into the machine and the second waits as insurance. If your volume is much higher, the five-pack brings the per-cartridge price down further.

What if one of the two cartridges has a problem?

Each cartridge in the pack is covered individually by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. If one underperforms, you are not stuck with it. Full terms are on the shipping and returns page, and you can reach support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
