Frequently Asked Questions
What cartridges fit the Oki C5850DN?
The C5850DN uses black 43865721, cyan 43865722, magenta 43865723, and yellow 43865724. The DN suffix means duplex and network, which does not change the cartridge set.
My C5850DN wastes color toner on emails printed from the web. How do I stop it?
Switch the driver to grayscale for web and email printing so the color cartridges stay idle. Many browsers also offer a simplified print view that cuts toner-heavy ads and banners.
Why does one C5850DN color always run out first?
Real-world documents rarely use colors evenly. Blue-heavy logos drain cyan faster, for example. Track your usage pattern and keep a spare of the fastest-draining color.
