Frequently Asked Questions

What does a fading magenta cartridge do to my printouts?

Magenta carries your reds, oranges and most skin tones, so as this cartridge fades, reds wash toward pink and photos take on a green-blue cast. The fix is a fresh 43865718 — the magenta member of this family — rated at 6,000 pages like its partners.

How much does magenta cost me per page?

At the $51.67 list price and the rated 6,000-page yield, the magenta component works out to about 0.86 cents per page. That figure assumes standard 5% coverage; dense marketing pieces will use the cartridge faster, light office color slower.

Which printers take the 43865718?

The Oki C6150 series: C6150dn, C6150dtn, C6150hdn and C6150n. Any of those four machines uses this same magenta cartridge, alongside 43865717 yellow and 43865719 cyan.

Can I mix this compatible magenta with original cartridges in the other slots?

Yes. Each color position works independently, so a compatible 43865718 in the magenta slot runs alongside whatever you already have in cyan, yellow and black. Many offices switch one color at a time this way rather than replacing everything at once.

What if the cartridge arrives damaged or prints badly?

It is covered before you ever install it: a one-year warranty plus one-year free returns, spelled out on our shipping & returns page. Shipments go out from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, so replacements are never crossing the whole country twice.

Should I stock a spare magenta, or order when it runs out?

Magenta is a quiet cartridge until a big color job lands. If your C6150 handles client-facing color work, a spare 43865718 on the shelf at $51.67 is cheap insurance against a mid-job fade; occasional color users can safely order on demand.

About This Okidata 43865718 Magenta Toner Cartridge
