Frequently Asked Questions

Does the "Premium Quality" label on this MC837 set mean it costs more?

No, and we want to be straightforward about that: this Premium Quality set is $139.21, exactly the same price as our standard MC837 four-color set. The label is part of the listing name only — you are not paying a premium for it, and we will not pretend the name alone makes it a different product at a different price.

Which four cartridges make up the set?

One black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge — the complete family numbered 44844509, 44844510, 44844511 and 44844512, listed together rather than assigned color by color. All four positions in the printer are covered by this single set, so nothing needs to be ordered separately.

How many pages should I expect from each cartridge?

Each of the four cartridges carries a 10,000-page rating. That rating is per cartridge, so your color pages draw on the cyan, magenta and yellow supplies while text pages draw mainly on black. Real-world life depends on coverage — dense color graphics use toner faster than plain text pages.

Will this set fit my printer?

It fits the Oki MC837 named in the listing, along with the C831, C831dn, C831n, MC873dn and MC873dnc. If you are comparing options across the Oki range, our Okidata section lists the sets for the other models we carry.

How does the per-cartridge price break down?

At $139.21 for four cartridges, the math comes to about $34.80 per cartridge. Because the standard and Premium Quality listings share the same $139.21 price, the choice between them does not change what you pay per cartridge at all.

What happens if a cartridge gives me trouble?

The set is backed by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and our team answers questions Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Shipments leave from IL, PA, GA and CA. You can read the complete policy on our shipping and returns page before you order.

About This MC837 Premium Quality Set

Let us say plainly what this listing is: the same four-cartridge refresh for the MC837 — black, cyan, magenta and yellow covering 44844509, 44844510, 44844511 and 44844512, each rated at 10,000 pages — at the same $139.21 as the standard set. The "Premium Quality" wording adds no charge and we make no claim here that it changes what is in the box. What you are getting is a complete, evenly matched set of compatibles at roughly $34.80 per cartridge, backed by a year of warranty and free returns.
