Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly arrives when I order this set for my C531?

Four sealed cartridges: one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow, together replacing the Oki cartridge numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703. It is a complete refresh kit for the Oki C531 in one box at $64.38 — about $16.10 per cartridge — so you are never caught with a fresh black installed next to a color that gives up a week later.

What does "Premium Quality" mean here — and what does it not mean?

Honestly? On this listing it does not mean a higher price, a higher yield or an extra feature. This Premium Quality set is $64.38, exactly what the standard version of the same C531 set costs, and the ratings are the same: black up to 3,500 pages, colors up to 3,000 pages each. We are not going to invent a difference that is not there. Treat the two listings as the same set wearing two labels, and let stock and delivery time decide which one you put in the cart.

How long will the ratings last in a real office?

Page yields are measured at 5% page coverage, which matches letters, invoices and reports. At that pace the black's 3,500-page rating is about seven reams of paper, and each color's 3,000-page rating is about six reams. If your C531 spends its days on presentations and marketing pieces with big color blocks, expect the colors to finish well before their ratings — coverage, not the cartridge, decides the real number.

Can I replace just one color at a time?

Yes. The four cartridges are separate units, and the printer only asks for the one that is empty. A common pattern is to run through two blacks before the colors need attention, since text printing dominates most offices. Keep the unopened cartridges somewhere cool and dry, out of sunlight, and they will be ready when their slot calls for them.

Does this set fit anything besides the C531?

The same cartridge family is listed for the Oki C530dn and C531dn, and for the MC562w, MC890 and MC950 multifunction machines. That cross-compatibility is part of why the set carries four part numbers — 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 — rather than a C531-only label. Offices running several of these models can standardize on one set.

What if a cartridge disappoints me?

These are compatible cartridges — built to match the Oki originals' fit and output, but not made by Oki. Every set is covered by a 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year, set out on our shipping & returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and you can reach support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. More Oki supplies live on the Okidata page.

About This C531 Premium Quality 4 Color Set

A complete compatible four-color toner set for the Oki C531, replacing cartridge numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703. The black is rated up to 3,500 pages and each color up to 3,000 pages, and the $64.38 set price — roughly $16.10 per cartridge — is identical to the standard listing, so nothing about the "Premium Quality" name costs you extra. A 1-year warranty and a year of free returns come with it.
