Frequently Asked Questions

My B720's prints have gone pale — will a new cartridge fix it?

If the fading came on gradually and covers the whole page, it almost always does. Toner fades as it runs out, and a fresh 52123601 restores full, even density in one swap. If sharp lines or repeating marks remain after the change, those point to the printer itself rather than the supply.

How many pages is this cartridge rated for?

Up to 15,000 pages at standard coverage — a genuinely high-yield rating for a workgroup mono cartridge. At $93.04 that is roughly 0.62 cents per page, which is why the B720's running costs stay so low.

Is this the same cartridge as the B710 takes?

Yes. B710 and B720 machines share the 52123601 — it also fits the B710dn, B710n, B720dn, B720n and B730dn. Different printer generations, one common supply, which keeps ordering simple.

Is this an original Okidata product?

No, it is a Clever Supplies compatible built to the 52123601 specification. The price of $93.04 reflects that; the 15,000-page yield class matches the original's rating.

Should I shake the old cartridge before replacing it?

A gentle rock can redistribute the last toner and buy a short reprieve — useful if a job must finish today. Treat it as first aid, not a cure: once output fades again, the cartridge is spent and the replacement should go in.

What backing does this cartridge carry?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns under our shipping & returns policy. Orders leave from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.
