Frequently Asked Questions

What is a 10 pack of MICR toner for?

Sustained check printing across a long horizon — or across several desks. Ten sealed CF280X MICR cartridges, each rated at 6,900 pages, for $159.52: central purchasing buys once, and every check run for months ahead is already covered.

Can these cartridges be shared across more than one location?

Yes. Any printer in this CF280X family can take one, so a head office can hold the stock and issue cartridges to branches as their check printers run low. Keep an issue note — which cartridge went where — and reordering stays painless.

Why does check toner need to be magnetic at all?

Banks move checks with reader-sorter machines that sense the coded bottom line magnetically. MICR toner contains the magnetic material those machines read. A check printed in ordinary toner looks identical on the desk but reads as blank to the sorter, which means manual handling and delays.

Do you guarantee our bank will accept checks from this stock?

No — acceptance is your bank's call, made on a finished check, and no cartridge seller can pre-approve it. Test a few checks from the first cartridge at each site, get the bank's confirmation, and the rest of the pack rolls out on a verified footing.

How should ten cartridges be stored?

Sealed, flat, in a cool dry cupboard, oldest stock forward. Label the shelf clearly as MICR so the check toner and the general toner never trade places — that separation is half of reliable check printing.

What cover applies to a pack this size?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, and support answers Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
