Frequently Asked Questions

We run three of these printers in one office. Is this the right way to stock drums?

Yes — this 3-pack puts one CF232A on the shelf for each machine. Drums wear by the pages each printer produces, so your three machines will not finish theirs in the same week; with all three replacements in the building, whichever printer fades first is back in minutes.

Should I label the drums for specific printers?

A pencil mark on each box with the printer's location is worth the habit. A drum's life is tracked by the machine it sits in, and moving a partly used drum confuses both counts. Fresh units are interchangeable before fitting; the labelling matters once a drum starts life somewhere.

My printer shows a drum warning. How do I confirm it before opening a new unit?

Print the supplies status page and read the drum line — the CF232A reports its own life, apart from toner. A nearly empty gauge beside matching symptoms (even fading, repeating marks, grey background) confirms the drum. If the gauge looks healthy, keep the new unit sealed and check toner first.

Does one drum really outlast several toner cartridges?

It does on this platform. Each drum here is rated for up to 23,000 pages; the CF230A and CF230X toners are rated in the low thousands. An M203 or M227 works through a string of toners on one drum, so drum replacement is an occasional fleet event, not a monthly errand.

How long can unopened drums sit in our supply cupboard?

A good while, kept sealed, flat and out of direct light and heat. The imaging surface is light-sensitive, so the sealed box is doing real work; leave each unit wrapped until fitting day. A cupboard away from sunny windows and radiators is all the storage these drums ask for.

What support backs this 3-pack?

Every unit is covered by a 1-year warranty together with 1-year free returns. Orders ship from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, support hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the shipping and returns page has the full detail.

About This CF232A Drum 3-Pack

A 3-pack of HP 32A (CF232A) imaging drums priced at $59.97, each rated for up to 23,000 pages, for the LaserJet Pro M203 and M227 family — the LaserJet M203dw included. It covers three printers that share one drum specification, so the inevitable drum change on any of them is a shelf trip, not a purchase order.
