Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I buy two CF232A drums in one box?

Most buyers of this 2-pack run a pair of M203 or M227 printers, or one printer plus a wish never to be caught mid-job. The two drums are identical individual CF232A units: one goes into the machine today, the other waits in the cupboard as the ready spare.

Can two printers share one drum between them?

No, and it would not help if they could. Each printer tracks the life of the drum fitted in it, and a drum wears by the pages passing over it. One drum per machine keeps both life counts honest and both outputs sharp.

How long does a 23,000-page drum last in a two-desk office?

At a few hundred pages a week — invoices, letters, the odd report — one drum can serve for years. The rating is up to 23,000 pages per unit, and the drum works through several CF230A or CF230X toner cartridges in that time, so drum changes stay rare events.

How should I store the spare drum until it is needed?

Leave it sealed in its box, flat, in a normal room away from sunlight and radiators. The drum surface is light-sensitive and ships protected; opened early on a bright shelf is the one way to shorten a spare's life. Sealed and dark, it waits patiently.

What are the signs the fitted drum — not the toner — is finishing?

Prints fading evenly across the page, marks repeating down the sheet, or a grey haze behind text, all persisting after a toner change. The supplies status page confirms it: the drum has its own life reading, and a low one beside those symptoms means the swap is due.

What cover comes with this 2-pack?

Both units carry a 1-year warranty together with 1-year free returns. Parcels leave our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, help is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the shipping and returns page carries the complete terms.
